Orlando, Fla.  The Orlando Economic Partnership (the Partnership) will host the 2017 James B. Greene Annual Award Dinner on Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress located at One Grand Cypress Blvd. in Orlando. The James B. Greene Award, first presented in 1990, recognizes an individual whose work has contributed substantially to the economic prosperity of the region. The Chairman’s Award, first presented in 2007, recognizes a long-term contributor to the economic development of the Orlando region.

William T. Dymond, Jr., CEO and President of Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, P.A., is the 2017 recipient of the James B. Greene Award. A supporter of civic and charitable organizations, Dymond has been instrumental in a number of initiatives like the improvements to the Camping World Stadium and the creation of LIFT Orlando. He’s served as a member of the Orlando Economic Partnership Board of Directors, as chair of the Economic Strategy Committee, and co-chair of the Investor Relations and Business Development committees.

The 2017 Chairman’s Award will be given to Steve Hogan, CEO of Florida Citrus Sports. Hogan is credited for recognizing the role of sports as an economic driver in the community and for highlighting the importance of the Camping World Stadium as an economic asset that elevates the region’s reputation as a world-class city. He’s also focused on improving the quality of life for Orlando’s residents. Hogan is a founding member of LIFT Orlando and continues to be active as a board member.

“Both Bill and Steve have made outstanding contributions to our region by working diligently to build our community, improve our quality of life and advance economic development,” said Robert Utsey, co-chair of the Partnership. “We are pleased to recognize these leaders with the highest honors we can give as they are named the 2017 James B. Greene and Chairman’s Awards winners.”

“Bill and Steve aren’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and tackle complex issues, and I applaud their leadership, grit and heart,” said Orlando Economic Partnership Co-Chair Sean DeMartino. “These are two brilliant men who have redefined the role of what business leaders can accomplish when they dedicate their time, energy and talent to making a difference in their community.”
